I justfound this news...He died on the 3 days ago...
GUY SPERANZA, the original voice for RIOT has passed away in a Florida hospital due to pancreatic cancer. Speranza fronted the band from their beginnings in Brooklyn, New York in early 1976. His unmistakable vocal style can be heard on Rock City (1977), Narita (1979) and the unsurpassed gem Fire Down Under (1981). Speranza was 47 years old.

They had hits such as "metal health", "cum on feel the noize", and "slick black cadillac" until somebody told them to shut up. Then they became Quiet Riot. lmao jk

I have 2 albums by them. I originally bought the one in '88 because of the song "Bloodstreets". Awesome song, and video. One of my faves from that time. The rest of the album was ok, and then I went out and bought "Fire Down Under", not realizing it was a different singer. Didn't like that one as much.

This is pretty sad, as I remember the cover to atleast one Riot album, and I remember the logo, but none of us remember a damn thing about the band!?! How many obscure bands do we know, but these guys were pretty well-known, and none of us remember them!!!

I'm a big fan of RIOT,they were a big band back in the day's along with Angel,Starz,The Godz,Rex,and Legs Diamond these bands were carrying Hard Rock/Glam while the dredded disease called Disco ruled the airwaves, but they all went away just like that other disease called Grunge killed off the 80's!My favourite cd is Narita it still kicks ass!The vocalist Guy Speranza did have a unique and amazing voice just like Davey Vain did.
